Usage Tips
Proper Installation:
- Fully submerge the heater in water before powering it on to avoid motor damage and ensure accurate temperature sensing.
Controller Placement:
- Use the included bracket to securely mount the digital controller on the tank edge for easy access and real-time monitoring.
Temperature Setting:
- Adjust the temperature using the intuitive LED controller—simply press the SET button to select the desired temperature within the 59°F to 93°F range. The heater automatically stops heating when the preset temperature is reached.
Safety Features:

This is an amazing heater, super easy to use and very accurate with its digital screen. This product unfortunately did stop working for me after a year of use. I did reach out to Hygger and after a couple of back-and-forth emails Hygger did send me a replacement. The customer support was amazing and they stand behind their product. I will continue to buy other Hygger heaters as I set up new aquariums.
Using the 1000W heater my 110 gal aquarium for a few weeks and it works great. I do recommend keeping a separate thermometer. As with other reviews, the thermometer on my heater is off by +2 degrees. I don’t mind though. It keeps the water temp regulated within 1 degree. The digital gauge makes it easy to set the temp without having to guess. Overall, definitely recommend and would buy again.
Purchase 300w for my tall tropical tank 65gallons, works great! The external temperature control is awesome and very accurate. It also heats up very quickly, keeping my fish tank at 78 degrees for a long time
