Usage Tips
- Only the 01 constant mode can set the flow intensity–press the “M” button to choose the wave pattern, and then press the “-” or “+” button to set the flow speed from F01 to F10.
- Only 02-pulse, 03-sine, and 04-random modes can set the wave frequency–press the “M” button to choose the wave pattern and then press the “-” or “+” button to set the wave frequency from P01 to P10.
Protective cover installation: find the notch in the case, align the power cord with the notch, and snap the pump into the cover. Note: The pump head cannot rotate in the opposite direction.

I’ve been an aquarium hobbyist for more than 30 years and I have seen the evolution of powerheads. This is one of the best little wave makers you can buy because it is inexpensive and it does the job. It has several settings on the side that allow the user to change the frequency and intensity as well.
I have a larger tank (70 gallons) and this moves the water very well. I always suggest several smaller wave makers as opposed to larger ones that create issues. This is a great little machine for anyone with a reef tank.
I’m super excited to try this out—mainly for the tidal and wave settings, plus the fact that you can adjust the flow speed and frequency. It only runs at 12w, so I’m hoping it won’t heat up the water like regular pumps do, which means cooler temps and less need for a chiller. The only thing I wish it had is a swivel or gimbal mount to angle it easier, instead of adjusting the shield. But honestly, with everything it can do, the direction of the flow doesn’t really matter. Just glad this kind of pump exists!
