Why You’ll Love It
Focus on the blue (435-450 nm) + purple (390-435 nm) spectrum for coral growth. The hygger HG100 marine clip-on light combines plant growth and coral color development. It stimulates the production of fluorescent proteins with 16 COB lamp beads, and provides ultra-high PAR value for corals, coupled with the upgraded convex mirror to a concentrated beam, the maximum diffusion range is 25″x25″. Ideal for small to medium-sized reef tanks from 12 to 35 gallons.
Key Features
Blue+Purple Spectrum Focus for Coral Growth
This dimmable, full-spectrum hygger 100 marine clip-on light emits a critical blue spectrum ranging from 435 to 450 nm and a purple spectrum from 390 to 435 nm, essential for coral growth. It creates a lighting environment from light blue to dark blue, stimulating the production of fluorescent proteins and intensifying corals’ vibrant colors.
Durable Marine Lighting Solution
hygger aquarium marine clip-on light is designed with marine tank requirements in mind and boasts exceptional heat dissipation. Equipped with a built-in large fan that activates automatically at temperatures above 30°C, it effectively manages heat. The light’s mesh aluminum casing and side hollow design facilitate airflow, allowing hot air to circulate and escape. This safeguards the internal components and significantly prolongs the light’s lifespan.
COB LED for Optimal Penetration
The marine light features a combination of 1 purple, 11 blue, and 4 white COB LED beads. This configuration delivers an ultra-high PAR value of 166 µmol (at a depth of 12 inches at full brightness) for coral growth. It provides a maximum diffusion range of 25 x 25 inches with an upgraded convex mirror to focus the beam.
User-Friendly Controller&Timer
The marine clip-on light is equipped with an external four-button controller for simple operation. You can select from three color modes:
– a mix of blue, purple, and white;
– blue only;
– white only.
Each mode offers 10 levels of brightness adjustment, allowing fine-tune the light intensity.
The timer function includes 3 intervals—6H, 10H, and 12H—enabling you to set the light schedule that best matches your marine tank’s needs.
360-degree Adjustable Bracket
The universal rotating bracket designed for coral tanks is straightforward to install. Using a knob-type clip, it securely fits on aquarium glass ranging from 0.3 cm to 2.5 cm thick. The aluminum bracket, combined with an outer rubber sleeve, offers 360° angle adjustment and is rust-resistant, ensuring durability and flexibility in positioning the light.
Usage Tips
1. The marine clip-on light offers 3 distinct colors: Blue mixed with purple, a mix of white and blue light, and pure white light.
2. You can adjust the brightness across ten levels within each mode.

Excellent light for the price. I wish there were better options for the number of hours. The timer goes from 6 to 10, skipping the most common option of 8 hours. That said is it very powerful for the price, wattage, and size and in my 8g bowl is growing some stoney corals, granted it’s also by a window. I absolutely love the covex mirror for a concentrated beam, it is perfect for my bowl because the light spotlights the bowl and nowhere else.
This light skips a few fancy features to keep the price down, which makes sense. The main thing it’s missing is detailed control over the light cycle—you can basically just set when it turns on and off, and that’s about it. Even then, it’s set in chunks (like 6, 8, or 12 hours), not at specific times. That said, the LED itself is super bright for how small it is, and the built-in cooling fan, while you can hear it a bit, does a solid job keeping it from getting crazy hot. I don’t have a spectrometer to check the exact spectrum, but comparing it to other known lights, it seems pretty spot-on. I’m using it in my refugium, and it’s doing a great job keeping my macroalgae in check—unlike some other fuge lights that are too heavy on the red and make algae grow out of control. This one keeps things nicely balanced. I could also see it working well in a nano tank with just fish and maybe a soft coral or two—nothing too demanding when it comes to lighting control.
The 32 watt is better than the 30 watt unit in every way. Well worth the money. I have two reef nano tanks. Each has one of these lights. I can grow SPS at 50% setting.
I like the blue light for my SPS coral
