Hygger aquarium water changer filter has a 3-stage filtration system: Mechanical, chemical, and biological filtration. This effective filtration keeps fish tank water crystal clean. A separate filter basket contains 3 layers of filter media: Sponge, active carbon pellets, and black bio balls.
Water flow adjustable
The max water flow rate of the bio aquarium filter is 158 GPH. You can easily rotate the knob in the outside of the cover on the top to control the water flow according to your needs. A must-have bio filter for 3 to 50 gallons small fish tank.
Quiet aquarium filter
The built-in water pump of the filter works quietly, and the filter comes with a cover which will shut off most of the noise. The waterfall design enables filtered water to go back to the tank silently. You can only hear the water sounds when it’s working. The noise is less than 40 dB, and will not disturb the fish or your sound sleep.
Fit for most fish tanks
The filter case is at the back of the filter outside of the fish tank. You can hang it onto most square fish tanks because it comes with a separate fix knob to make the clip of the filter to fit different thickness of fish tank wall.
With a floating skimmer
There is a floating skimmer on the telescopic water intake tube which will be floating up when sank into water. Visible impurities floating on the water will get into the skimmer house when the filter pump is running.
3-stage filtration to keep water clean
Stage 1: Mechanical filtration
At this stage, the pumped-up water first go through the sponge filter pad to filter out physical impurities such as fish manure, fish food, etc.
Stage 2: Chemical filtration
Premium black active carbon pellets starts to remove odors, discoloration, and more small impurities in the water.
Stage 3: Biological filtration
Black bio filter media balls, with more surface area. It’s good for biofilm formation and the growth of beneficial bacteria.
