I use this pump to pump my dirty aquarium water from a large bucket down the drain in the other room. I like it but it plugs up with just a little bit of miscellaneous plant matter. Keep this in mind and you should be fine. The rate is very good and has sped up how long the maintenance takes me to get done.
I’ve only used it once, and let me tell you. I did a 25% water change, start to finsh, in my 29 gallon aquarium, in less than 10 minutes! BIG back AND time saver! I tried the model a step below this one (~150gph?) Which worked OK but it was too slow for me and I have a tall tank so it struggled to pump the water up to where I needed it. So i tried a different brand at 800gph… WAYYYY to much. But this 400gph model is just write! And seems to be built well. Pair with python “the hook” and some 3/4 id silicon tubing and you’re set! Would highly recommend 👌

This pump is great! It allows you to do super quick water changes. Mine malfunctioned about 2 months in during a water change in a newly set up tank–after some troubleshooting with Luna (from Hygger), the company set me up with a new pump. They’ve won a customer for the long term!
Zum Wasserwechsel funktioniert die Pumpe Größe 3 am besten, geht schnell hat Vorteile das man nicht mehr das Wasser schleppen muss und umgekehrt geht es auch gut ab ins Waschbecken rein und frisches Wasser zurück ins Aquarium pumpen.
