Sand Gravel Washing
The HG298 handheld aquarium water changer combines an efficient DC pump with 528 GPH high flow that is ideal for fine sand and coarse gravel. This electric gravel cleaner delivers strong suction to quickly clear fish dung and food residues from gravel. The baffle and filter sponge of the sand vacuum cup prevent small fish, shrimp, and gravel from being sucked in, and block sand and gravel entry to the motor.
Aquarium Cleaning

Stable Handheld Use
Built-in air release valve at the 3-way tube automatically exhausts trapped air and vacuum inside the pump and tubes. It effectively fixes the common no-suction problem when turning on the pump before putting it in water for more stable performance.
Note: A slight water spray from the top is normal during air venting.
Usage Tips
- Hand-tighten only. Do not over-tighten to prevent pipe/fitting damage
- Suitable for low-water-level cleaning, but not for long-term use as an in-aquarium filter.
- After saltwater use, rinse the motor head with fresh water to prevent corrosion.
- Do not run continuously as a submerged pump.
