Very effective!
This is my first time purchasing a turtle tank vacuum system. I love it! It works GREAT! Easy to set up and assemble. Easy to use, easy to clean parts. Does an excellent job vacuuming the debris from my turtle tank (rock and sand). Very reasonably priced for an excellent quality product
Very convenient and powerful gravel washer, but recirculating the water is not a good option for me. The recirculation water was very cloudy. Had to clean my canister. In the future, I will change the water when I clean the gravel. Maybe after my gravel is cleaner, I can use the recirculation feature
This is a follow-up to a previous review of the electric gravel cleaner, and it shows my favorite feature of this pump. Getting water out of the tank is one thing, adding into the tank is another. In addition, you can see in the video the bucket of water is much lower than the tank itself, which I think demonstrates the power of Hygger’s electric gravel cleaner. It’s impressive.
Hygger calls this device a gravel cleaner, but it is much more than just a gravel cleaner. It makes changing water so much easier, especially for larger aquariums. It can “pump out” or “pump in” water at a rate of one gallon 22 seconds per my unscientific testing. The Electric Aquarium Gravel Cleaner comes with several attachments for cleaning sand, gravel, large rocks, and decorations. The fish waste and decaying food are trapped in a filter, but the unique part is that the water can be returned the tank. This is especially nice for cleaning the gravel without changing the water.
The pump is a little large, so it can be a little difficult to clean the gravel without disturbing the plants in a well-planted aquarium; therefore, I use Hygger’s hand pump gravel cleaner (HG956) for cleaning the gravel.
A must have for every aquarium owner!
