Why You’ll Love It
The hygger Intelligent Cross Flow Pump has 6 waveforms and 1-10 gears to adjust the waveform for saltwater and freshwater tanks ≤ 79 in. It consists of 2 small outlets to cover a large area and has a day-night sensor and switches between the lowest flow rate and normal mode intelligently.
Key Features
Versatile Intelligent Pump
The HG166 intelligent cross-flow pump is easy to operate. It can connect multiple pump heads wirelessly; each pump head operates alternately, but shares a master controller setting.
Adjustable Waveform & Flow Rate
The pump head consists of 2 small outlets that can be rotated to adjust the flow direction for multi-angle blowing freely. You can place it horizontally or vertically; the wide outlet forms a flatter water outlet cone, covering a larger area and reducing dead corners in the tank. It can reduce the impact of strong local water flow on corals or fish, especially suitable for coral tanks, mixed tanks, and large fish tanks.

6 Waveform Modes
– Constant Mode: Continuous fixed waveform output water flow, adjustable 1-10 gears, waveform cannot be adjusted.
– Quick Mode: The motor runs fast, providing a constant and strong flow of water. Adjustable 1-10 gears; waveform is fixed at 0.6 seconds.
– Pulse Mode: The motor quickly pushes out the wave with the max power and then drops to the mini power, and the cycle repeats. Adjustable 1–10 gears, adjustable waveform between 0.4 and 10 seconds.
– Tide Mode: The motor slowly reaches the max speed and then slowly decreases; the rise and fall times are roughly the same. Adjustable 1-10 gears, adjustable waveform between 0.4 and 10 seconds.
– Random Mode: The flow rate has no standard rhythm, running randomly, forming turbulence. Adjustable 1–10 gears, adjustable waveform between 0.4 and 10 seconds.
– FWD/REV Mode: The waveform is operated alternately in forward and reverse directions. In this mode, the motor reverses and may make a sound.
In Pulse Mode/Tide Mode/Random Mode/FWD/REV Mode, you can adjust 1–10 gears and waveform between 0.4–10 seconds.
Power-off Memory Function
When power is back, the controller automatically reverts to the mode set before.
Feeding Mode
Once activated, the wave pump will temporarily stop running for 10 minutes.

Day/Night Sensor & Low Flow Mode
Most fish are like humans, active during the day and sleeping at night to reduce fatigue. The hygger 166 wave pump can be in normal mode during the day and low water flow at night.
The external controller is equipped with a light sensor. When the room light is dimmed, the light sensor turns on, and the wave pump defaults to the current mode’s lowest flow rate in 1st speed. When the light is brightened, it returns to the normal mode set automatically. This mode can be turned off.
Easy To Install&Remove
Large external controller and strong magnetic base, firm and easy to install and remove; the holder also comes with a silicone sleeve to reduce noise, and will not scratch the tank wall.
Usage Tips
HG166 Intelligent Cross-Flow Pump Application:
Saltwater tank: Corals rely on turbulence to obtain food and oxygen and require dynamic water flow.
Freshwater tank: Meet water circulation needs, such as maintaining surface water flow for oxygenation, removing impurities, or creating a natural landscape.
Note: The controller displays fault code E09 when a water shortage occurs.

Works great! Compared to the expensive ones. It’s Definitely worth it. Easy to use. Silent and moves water with ease.
Love the wave makers. It has made a big improvement on keeping my sand cleaner and my fish enjoying playing in the current.
It was shipped with care it came well protected. When I plugged it in it worked perfectly. Great product i will be recommending this product and any products from hygger to all my friends and family.
Works great on my 75 gallon tank
Affordable, Powerful, Useful !!!!
Great wave maker, quiet and easy to use
I use this wave maker to create a push/wave across the top of my reef tank – corals love the water movement!
