Step 2: Plug it in, and you can see the red light indicator and the LED digital number displaying the current water temperature.
Step 3: Press the “Set” button to your desired temperature, which will blink for 3 seconds. Then it will return to show the current water temperature.

Useful Tips

1. Always keep the heater rod fully submersible.
2. Before taking out the heater, please disconnect the power and wait for 10 minutes to cool it down.

How to Choose the Right Size Heater for an Aquarium?

The rule of thumb is 2.5 to 5 watts per gallon of water volume. This can vary depending on how cold the room in which your aquarium is, and how large the tank is.

For example, if you have a 5-gallon tank, you need to heat the water up to 10 degrees above room temperature. The suggested heater size is 50 watts. However, if your home is on the colder side at 65°F, and you need to raise the water temperature by 15 degrees, then consider upsizing the heater to 75 watts above.
